“The Lindstroem Project”: WINNER OF ARSC AWARD 2011

Die jährlich erscheinende Publikation der GHT ”The Lindström Project, Beiträge zur Geschichte der Schallplattenindustrie”, Band 2, Wien 2010, ISBN 978-3-9500502-1-9, , herausgegeben von Pekka Gronow und Christiane Hofer, hat von der internationalen “Association for Recorded Sound Collections” (ARSC) den Award for BEST ONGOING RESEARCH in BUSINESS OF RECORDED SOUND 2011 verliehen bekommen. Der Preis wird im Mai 2012 in Rochester, New York, überreicht.
Die “Beiträge zur Geschichte der Schallplattenindustrie” sind ein Periodikum, das von der Gesellschaft für Historische Tonträger jährlich heraugegeben wird und Forschungsergebnisse zur Geschichte der Schallplatte publiziert. Band 2 der “Beiträge zur Geschichte der Schallplattenindustrie” sind Gewinner Award 2011 der Association for Record Sound Collections (ARSC). ”The Lindström project, volume 2”, edited by Pekka Gronow and Christane Hofer, has received an award for BEST ONGOING RESEARCH in BUSINESS OF RECORDED SOUND in the year 2011 from the international Association for Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC). The book was published by Gesellaschaft für historische Tonträger (GHT) in Vienna. The project has so far published three volumes of articles on the activities of the company, and a cd-rom with copies of all preserved recording ledgers of the company. The articles have covered many aspects of the activities of the company, such as the recordings of Richard Tauber, Argentinian tango recordings in the 1920s, and Chinese opera recorded on Lindström labels.
“Contributions to the history of the record industry” is an annual periodical edited by Gesellschaft für Historische Tonträger for publishing the results of researches in sound- and record history.
